Corporate education in English

At present Berghs School of Communication offers a limited selection of courses and lecture programs in English.

Commissioned courses allow companies and organizations to develop a program of education that suits their particular needs. As such, these courses can contain everything from presentation skills to project management or from selling, to graphic design. Commissioned courses can range from 2-3 day-courses to 25-30-day programs that extend over a longer period of time. The courses can be held at the school, on the company’s premises, or at another external location both in Sweden and abroad. Courses can be conducted in English or Swedish.

The school can develop a number of packaged courses in English that can be fine-tuned to a company, organization or teaching institution. Below is an example of a five-day course from 2004 with a total of 22 hours of lectures divided into three blocks.

Branding/Corporate Identity
Branding, corporate identity and positioning are key aspects of contemporary marketing. The course provides an overview of the field and places specific emphasis on the different types of brands and portfolios of brands, brand management and brand planning. The course also looks at the consumer aspects of branding.

Integrated marketing / Communications
In the integrated marketing model, a company becomes a cohesive unit with a single overall goal based on maximizing awareness among the target audience and making sure that the marketing promises get consistently distributed across all sales and marketing media, and that they get consistently delivered at the point of sale.

Project Management
The course looks at how to assess the importance of successful project sponsorship and leadership and analyze how an organization’s structure and culture impact project management. The course also focuses on the implementation of strategies of integrated marketing.
