Introduction
Marketing Communications is a one-year vocational diploma course that provides a broad-based theoretical and practical course of study in marketing. It also gives a basic introduction to professional practice within marketing and advertising. The education prepares students for professional roles in the communications industry such as: project managers, marketing heads and planners.
Diploma Education Contents
The education provides knowledge, analytical tools and methodologies necessary for problem solving, communication planning and project management. Theoretical assignments are mixed with practical exercises that are directly applicable in a professional role.
The education is divided into a series of courses in business administration, strategic planning, presentation technique (written and spoken) business economics, communications theory and planning, marketing analysis, marketing law, strategic information and public relations, project management and international marketing.
Course Structure
The education consists of a one-year of full-time study. The pedagogical form of the course is a mixture of lectures, seminars, workshops and group projects. A large-scale examination project runs parallel with the courses in the final term.
The education places an emphasis on working over traditional disciplines and students work directly with students from the other school departments.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must have a completed high-school/college education with good grades in Swedish, English and Mathematics. Students should have at least one-year relevant professional experience.
