About me

Change, is a fantastic word. Sometimes change can be for the worse but if you are active in your life it is more often for the better. When looking back at my life I can clearly see this trend of activeness and map that to how good my life has been. Currently it is very active and thus most changes are for the better. I am now changing my life, not from the computer and IT industry but rather to marketing, and it is a great change indeed. I have for many years had a nagging feeling that there must be more to my professional life than what I was experiencing. That is why I applied to Berghs and Market Communication, and it feels awesome.

My goal is to work as a brand strategist. This is where I can utilize most of the qualities that I have. It is the combination of analysis, strategy and creativity that is really attractive to me, and hopefully I am equally attractive as a creative strategist.

The bookstore business is under a lot of pressure and change where more and more books are bought online. In an industry where there is no difference between the products sold and you get exactly the same thing whether you buy it from an online merchant or from a store. Here a strong brand name is essential and to utilize your unique advantages towards the online business where the biggest competition is. This great challenge of handling not only the other bookstores but also most importantly the online-based stores were very intriguing. Evidently this project had to be presented as a book.

After many analyses of the company, market and competitors we established that the physicality of the store together with knowledge and service from the staff were the most important assets.

Based on these thoughts we came to the conclusion that we needed to create a more complete and fulfilling store experience. The experience we were aiming for is the feeling of when you submerge your self in a great book and for a while you leave your everyday chores and escape into another realm. This is also based on trends that we currently see in the society of not being as much out and about but rather want to build a more stable base at home. Thanks to the fantastic team I had the privilege of working with we managed to produce a fantastic report. Team spirit was always on top and we stuck together through good and bad times.
