"The colors in the rainbow flag symbolize freedom and equality for LGBT people around the world. By removing the color creating a gradient shift from black and white to color I visualize a movements fight for equal civil rights."

"I wanted to work with the concept of power and weakness/fragility. I combined the most powerful thing we know, nature, and one of the most fragile things we know, a leaf to create a contrast symbolizing the internal feelings of the two main characters of the movie. To further visualize the broken emotional state these characters are in I burnt the edges of the leaves."
