Berghs collaborates with Luma AI to bring Dream Machine and Ray3 into the classroom

October 15, 2025

Berghs School of Communication is proud to announce a new collaboration with Luma AI, the creators of Dream Machine and the newly launched Ray3, one of the most advanced AI video models in the world. Together, they are introducing students to a new era of visual intelligence — technology that merges artistry with the speed of thought and enables creators to move seamlessly from imagination to execution.

This collaboration brings together two forces at the forefront of creativity: Berghs, ranked “the top creative school in the world” in the Young Ones Global Creative Rankings, and Luma AI, whose groundbreaking visual intelligence technology is redefining how stories are imagined and produced. Students will gain hands-on access to Dream Machine and Ray3 during upcoming courses, allowing them to explore and shape the future of communication with AI.

"At Berghs, we believe the best way to learn creativity is to practice it with the tools of tomorrow. Partnering with Luma AI allows our students to experiment with Dream Machine and Ray3 and push the boundaries of what’s possible," says Nina Amjadi, Program Director for the Content Engineering program at Berghs.

The partnership will formally launch in connection with the upcoming Generating Content course, led by renowned Visual AI artist Billy Boman, where students will explore the creative possibilities of generative AI in depth.

Ray3 represents a new generation of intelligent video models built to think like a creative partner. It is powered by Luma’s multimodal reasoning system, allowing users to generate cinematic video from text and image inputs with greater control, style transformation, and realism than ever before. The model was designed in collaboration with creators across film, advertising, and gaming, enabling professional-quality results that meet the technical standards of modern production.

"It is with great pleasure and genuine excitement that we announce a collaboration of this caliber, between one of the world’s leading AI image and video model companies and one of Europe’s most renowned creative education institutions,” said Billy Boman. “This partnership marks one of the very first of its kind. By giving the Content Engineering students at Berghs School of Communication access to Luma AI’s powerful suite of video and imaging tools, we are enabling them to explore, experiment, and accelerate their creative ambitions during the program and beyond."

Caroline Ingeborn, Chief Operating Officer of Luma AI, commented: "Dream Machine, Ray3, and our work in visual intelligence give students the power to move from imagination to motion instantly, turning their ideas into cinematic stories in ways that were never before possible. Together with Berghs, we are helping the next generation of creators learn how to harness AI as both a collaborator and catalyst, where creativity and technology truly work hand in hand."

The partnership marks a step forward in Berghs’ mission to combine creativity and technology, preparing the next generation of communicators to lead in a fast-changing world.
