The course felt super relevant to my day-to-day work and Berghs has a solid reputation, so it was a no-brainer for me to sign up.

Chris recently completed Berghs’ 8-week online course AI for Marketing Professionals. As a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Tink, he's now using AI to streamline tasks, create on-brand content faster, and experiment with advanced tools that elevate both productivity and creativity. Read how this course helped him turn curiosity into confidence — and make AI a valuable part of everyday work.

Hi Chris! who are you and what do you do?

Hey! I'm Chris - a born and raised Brit who made a pre-Brexit move to Stockholm in 2016 to chase a career in tech. Somehow nine years have since passed by, six of those I spent bringing social robots and conversational AI to the world at Furhat Robotics, and more recently I’ve been working in Product Marketing at Tink.

You recently took our AI for Marketing Professionals course. What made you choose this course?

The AI world is moving so, so fast. I honestly feel if I don't stay up to date, I'll very quickly fall behind. The course felt super relevant to my day-to-day work and Berghs has a solid reputation, so it was a no-brainer for me to sign up.

What did you take away from the course?

An incredible amount. Like most of us, I'd dabbled with a few AI tools before but I was well aware I wasn't using them to their full potential. This course really opened my eyes to what's possible when you dig a little deeper - from building custom GPTs, creating visual assets, testing out email productivity tools and reinventing the way I search online... the list goes on.

What was it like having NICOLE BOMAN as your instructor?

Nicole was brilliant! She's passionate about AI, super knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us learn. What I really appreciated was her openness to support us and answer questions outside of the class sessions too.

What did you find the most fun or valuable during the course?

I loved the image and video generation session. This was just as OpenAI released the 4o image generation model which just blew my mind. But the real game-changer for me was learning advanced prompting techniques. This has made my daily AI use way more effective, and the output so much more relevant.

Have you been able to apply what you learned?

I've already put quite a bit of what we learned into practice, especially when it comes to automating repetitive tasks in my week. For example, I built a custom GPT trained on my company's tone of voice and it's already become my go-to tool for writing content. It saves so much time and consistently keeps everything on-brand.

What does a typical day at work look like for you?

There's never a dull day in Product Marketing - we're often wearing a few too many hats. One minute we're writing content or working on a new product launch, the next we're in customer meetings or even mocking up assets in Figma. This role keeps you on your toes for sure.

What’s the best part of your job?

I love the blend of strategic thinking and hands-on work. Product Marketing sits at the intersection between many different teams, and we're really at the heart of bringing products to market. That cross-functional collaboration is where I thrive the most.

And the challenges?

Well, with that comes its own challenges. Managing that many stakeholders can be tricky, so you really need to be an effective communicator. Consumer behaviours are constantly evolving too so we've really got to stay up to date with market trends. And measuring ROI can sometimes be tricky when a part of our impact is more tangible.

Where do you find inspiration?

Honestly, ChatGPT itself! It's become a bit of a thought partner. I've started using voice mode to bounce around ideas all the time, even in my personal life.

Also LinkedIn has actually been a decent source of inspiration recently, especially seeing how other marketers are using AI tools practically.

Do you have a career tip you’d like to share?

You’re never going to feel ready. So just start.

Stay curious and never stop learning. Especially considering how fast things are moving right now. That's why courses like this are so important. You'll build new skills, new ideas, new connections... you never know where things might lead.

What would you say to someone considering taking this course?

If you're a marketer trying to stay ahead of the curve, I'd highly recommend it. You'll come away with practical skills you can use straight away. There's so much value in taking a course that can give you the latest AI updates from literally the same day, with the added bonus of being taught by an expert in the field.
