How AI Is Transforming Video Production Workflows: Patrik's Story

Patrik recently completed Berghs’ 4-weeks AI for Design & Video course. As a video producer passionate about exploring new creative tools, he wanted to move beyond experimentation and learn how AI is used professionally in the industry. Read how the course gave him structure, confidence, and a competitive edge in his work.
Hi PATRIK! who are you and what do you do?
Hey there! I work as a video producer, and I’ve been fascinated by moving images in all their forms ever since I was a kid.
You recently took "AI for Design & Video ". What made you choose this course?
When AI first started entering the field, I was both terrified and completely hooked. Since then, I’ve been experimenting with different tools on my own, but I lacked a solid professional workflow. So when I came across this course, with its focus on how AI is actually used in the industry, it was an easy decision.
What did you take away from the course?
The most valuable part of this course was learning how to approach a project right from the very beginning—how to think strategically before you dive in. I also gained a much clearer understanding of how the industry works and how to navigate the growing landscape of AI tools. Learning about the strengths and weaknesses of each tool was incredibly insightful.
What was it like having Michel Megherbi as your instructor?
Michel was extremely professional. From day one, he immersed us in how companies are currently working with AI, showing both the potential and the limitations of the tools. But what really stood out was his feedback—he gave his absolute all to provide constructive, personalized guidance to every student, no matter their starting level.
What did you find the most fun or valuable during the course?
Definitely the lectures where Michel shared how he and others are using AI tools in their daily work. It gave us an inside look at not only how to create content, but also how to collaborate with a team to achieve a strong final result. It felt like unlocking “superpowers” once you learned how to really leverage the tools to your advantage.
Have you been able to apply what you learned?
I feel much more prepared for roles that involve AI now. I can create content that’s more thoughtful, strategic, and stands out. It really feels like I gained an edge compared to others in the field after completing this course.
What does a typical day at work look like for you?
No two days are alike. One day I might be filming at a live event, the next creating a video report on car crash safety. Just recently, I edited a “bachelor party after-movie” and added some AI elements—it was a total hit!
What’s the best part of your job?
Getting to work with what I love and what I’m good at. Every day brings something new, and I get to meet some amazing people along the way.
And the challenges?
There are a lot of talented people in this industry, and who knows what the future will bring. The key is to stay curious and keep up with the rapid changes.
Where do you find inspiration?
I draw a lot of inspiration from classic films and directors like Tarantino. I prefer the analog, cinematic look over the hyper-digital style you often see today. I like to blend the old with the new in an effort to create a style that feels uniquely my own.
Do you have a career tip you’d like to share?
Dare to bet on yourself and take up space. Think of yourself as the “main character” and just go for it.
What would you say to someone considering taking this course?
Go for it! You won’t just learn how the pros work—you’ll also meet like-minded people who might open doors to exciting new career opportunities.
