About the Programs
Creating your portfolio is one of the most challenging things that you need to do to break into the communication and marketing industry. It requires a lot of self-reflection and focus —which is extremely hard when you're your own client! But one thing that Berghs has is experience in helping all kinds of people find their unique voice, and to help them reflect that in a great portfolio.
Berghs Advanced is a family of programs designed for international students that helps you refine your creative muscle and develop a portfolio that takes you where you want to go. Over 15 intense weeks, you'll gain a new international perspective on the world of communication and marketing to help you find your place. So that you can work with things that reflect your values, your skills and your ambitions.
Choose an area of communication to get started.
Our Advanced Portfolio Programs are designed to prepare you to enter working life. They are largely based on practical work (expect to work on many briefs!), your individual professional goals and portfolio development. At the end of the program, you will have produced lots of work that feeds both directly and indirectly into your portfolio. You’ll have the skills and the confidence to reach out to future employers and show them what you can do.
Stockholm is a progressive, green, and tech-positive capital city. It’s fairly small and easy to live in compared to other European capitals, and it’s home to an exciting creative industry.
The lifestyle here is everything you’d expect from Scandinavia. It’s cosy inside and crisp outside in the winter, It’s green, bright and exciting in the summer. As a student, you can enjoy the informal vibe of the city, the café culture, the easy commuting, the beautiful natural surroundings, and the professional connections you get via Berghs.
You start your application process by registering to one of Berghs’ Advanced Portfolio Programs. Make sure you include your cv, a letter to explain your ambitions, and some work samples. Your application should be in English but feel free to add work in your own language if you want.
If your profile is a good match, Berghs will invite you to an interview (video call) and we’ll ask you to complete a fun creative task to see how you think. That’s all.
The initial registration carries no obligations. You only commit to taking the course and moving to Stockholm later in the process, if you are offered to enroll.
