Hi Lila! Tell us a bit about yourself!
I’m 23 and I was born and raised in Paris. After graduating high school, I decided to study communication. I decided to take the opportunity to move to Stockholm for an exchange semester at Berghs School of Communication where I focused on graphic design, and then returned the following year to study art direction. I’m now doing my end-of-studies internship at McCann Stockholm as an Art Director.
You’ve had a long relationship with Berghs, can you tell us a bit more about it?
I first came to Berghs in the spring of 2021 as an exchange student to the Berghs Bachelor program. From the moment I first walked into the school I knew I was going to love it! I learned a lot in graphic design and decided to come back in the spring of 2022 to focus more on art direction with the Advanced Advertising Program.
Most recently you finished the Advanced Advertising program with us. What was that like?
The Advanced Advertising Program was a good opportunity for me to learn more about art direction. I learned how to choose the best direction in a creative project and was able to try more fields than just graphic design, like photography and UX design. The projects were very tech-focused which allowed me to learn a bit more about this field.
Since you finished the Advanced Advertising Program, you’ve been interning at McCann. How is agency life treating you?
The agency is treating me well ! I get along very well with my colleagues and the environment is very chill and pleasant to work in. My boss and I have a very trust-driven relationship which makes everything easier in day-to-day life!
What is your day-to-day at work like?
We have a bunch of long-term clients that we work with so there’s continuous work on their campaigns and projects, depending on what needs they have. In addition to working on campaigns the clients need, we also try to offer them suggestions about projects that we think could be interesting for them.

How did your portfolio play into finding your internship?
I presented my portfolio for the first time during my interview with my boss. As it’s a website and not just a traditional analog portfolio, it was easier to navigate and showcase it. I think the website is the best option as you can customize it to make it look more personalised.
What was your favourite part of the Advanced Advertising Program?
I really enjoyed the process of creating my portfolio on my own and being able to customise everything I wanted. It was a long and tough process but it made me super proud at the end.
Having gone through two Berghs programs, what do you think makes Berghs unique?
The environment of the school makes it unique to me. I think it’s so important to work in a place where you feel comfortable. I also created amazing relationships with my teachers who were helpful and understanding from the beginning.
How can people see your work? (i.e. please give us a link to your portfolio if possible!
