Financial conditions and other important information for our programs – Berghs Bachelor/Advanced Portfolio Programs

Tuition fee:

The tuition fee is determined by Berghs School of Communication and covers the entire semester. The tuition invoice will be sent to your registered email. The tuition fee must be fully paid by the due date stated on the invoice.

Berghs practices “admission confirmation with the requirement to respond if you do/do not wish to participate in the program.” This means you need to accept or decline your offer by the date stated in the admission message.

Registration fee:

Once you have been accepted to the program and responded to your notification of admission, you will be asked to pay a registration fee equal to 10% of the total tuition fee. Once the registration fee is paid, you are fully enrolled in the program.

The last day of resignation and paying the registration fee is, following the Act on Distance Contracts and Off-Premises Contracts, 14 days after you have accepted the offer to the program.

If you have accepted the offer and fail to give Berghs notice in time, you are still required to pay the 10% registration fee. The registration fee is non-refundable.

The registration fee will later be deducted from the tuition fee. By starting the program, you agreed to pay the full tuition fee.

Payment:

The student always has financial responsibility towards the school. For example, if you state that your employer will cover course costs, but your employer does not fulfill its financial liability to Berghs, the payment obligation will be transferred to you personally (the student).

The invoice needs to be settled by the due date stated on the invoice. If a reminder of payment needs to be sent (i.e., no payment is received by the date stated on the invoice), a fee of 150SEK plus interest (base rate +8%) will be incurred. An unpaid invoice after the date specified on the invoice may result in the loss of the student’s right to participate in the program.

All participants, both Swedish and international, must pay Swedish VAT according to Swedish tax legislation.

The rights of regret:

Following The Act on Distance Contracts and Off-Premises Contracts, a consumer has a 14-day right of regret. For our programs, the 14-day period begins on the day you accept your spot and accept the terms and conditions.

If you, within these 14 days, want to practice your right to regret, you need to email info@berghs.se with a clear message of your decision to retire from the agreement. Please also add the program name and time frame. Your resignation from the agreement must be confirmed in writing from Berghs.

CSN - Student loan:

Berghs Bachelor is not eligible for the Swedish student loan scheme (CSN) for the first semester in Stockholm. However, once you continue your studies abroad, you can apply for CSN to cover your tuition fees. All of Berghs’ partner schools are accredited and approved for student loans from CSN.

Advanced Advertising and Advanced Design are not eligible for CSN student loans.

Reimbursement of the tuition fee:

Paid tuition fees are non-refundable after the course has started. Exceptions can be made in case of long-term illness, supported by a medical certificate, and the inquiry must be made in writing to Berghs School of Communication.

Approved leave from studies:

An approved leave from studies is only allowed in case of illness and shall be confirmed by a medical certificate. Approved leaves from studies will not be granted for any other reason.

The right to make changes:

Berghs SoC reserves the right to update the contents of these terms and conditions at any time.

We cannot take responsibility for changes in the terms and conditions that may be applied by our partner institutions in other countries. It will, therefore, be your responsibility to take note of and follow them when you begin your studies abroad. In the event of an insufficient number of participants, Berghs reserves the right to cancel a program or a course.
