Copywriting in English level 2

This course consolidates the writing and editing skills introduced in Copywriting in English and introduces new ones. The course will help you generate, write and edit effective B2B content tailored to SKF. The course emphasizes writing for a global, cross-cultural audience and reflects SKF’s values and status.

The course is closely tailored to SKF’s communication priorities and goals. The emphasis is on business-to-business, web content and web editing; and writing and managing content for internal and trade channels.

Course Content

  • Business communication in the next 50 years: Adapt or die, challenge to opportunity.
  • Mastering Tone: Speaking your customer’s language.
  • Cross-cultural communication: Adapting not translating, most common non-native English writing errors, B2B case-based communication.
  • Creativity: Advanced exploration of business benefits, generating ideas, interplay, creative success for the long haul.
  • Brand campaigning, building involvement, interaction and event into the brand.
  • Advanced PR and event marketing.
  • Writing for film, broadcast and streaming media.
  • Pitching and presenting in English.

Course Director

Mark Du Bois is a freelance copywriter, translator and corporate trainer who specializes in B2B communication. Mark has worked as a writer and editor on numerous internet and intranet channels. His long-term clients have included Gambro, Ericsson and Sanofi-Aventis.
