About the course
This course gives the participants the basic understanding of how digital challenges our way of doing business, building brands and communicating. The student will get insights on how digital can be used to meet new market challenges and turn them into benefits for the modern marketer.
The course is implemented in a way that lets you as an attendee experience services and technology commonly used in digital media today. This will give you a more efficient digital experience by itself and give new perspectives on new ways to collaborate with others.
Course Content
After completing this course you should understand how to create a digital strategy for the online presence of a brand. You will also get to know the tactics of interactive medias such as Twitter, Facebook etc. You will learn more about the basic concepts and means of expression when acting on the webb. You will be familiar with concepts as:
- Communication in a relation driven economy
- How digital solutions supports the overall communication
- New- vs. traditional media, bought vs deserved media
- Digital audiences – how to spot them
- The digital logics behind social media
- Goals and measures for online activity
- Platforms, services and technology
Course format
8 individual assignments offering intensive practice
8 one-to-one detailed feedbacks from course tutor.
Self study about 10 hours per week
The course is divided into eight assignments and eight course letters. Course letters come along with the assignment. Data is transmitted digitally and commented in the text about a week later by the teacher. It is possible to individually adapt the guidance during the semester and it is, therefore, possible to follow the course on an individual level.
Examination
To qualify, the student must have submitted complete solutions to all elements of the course. The final project is presented at the school. Each participant will present his own work, followed by teachers' comments and a joint call to the group about the work. For those who cannot attend the work you will load up the previous data on Luvit.
Certificate
A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the course.

Admission requirements and application
You must have finished high school or equivalent level of education. Your application holds a short description of yourself where you motivate why you're applying to this particular course, as well as a breakdown of your previous education and work experience. Students are expected to have good English writing and reading skills and excellent study habits.
The course deals with communication and branding and we, therefore, assume that you as a participant have the basic knowledge of marketing to be able to assimilate the content of the course. Throughout the course you will be using different online services to share and publish your work – so patience, courage and online access will be key to fully fulfill the goal of the course.
