Outstanding Communicators
For over sixty years Berghs has been consistently developing a program of study that mixes the strategic, creative and production aspects of communication into a cohesive whole. Our greatest inspiration: we want our students to grow into becoming outstanding communicators, ready to tackle any contemporary challenges in the real world. In order to achieve this, we provide students with the latest industry insights and help them master the latest tools that will help them get the best job done. In short: we train the best communicators of tomorrow.
Integrative Approach
Few schools combine, as Berghs does, all major commercial communication disciplines under one roof. We have programs in advertising, design, PR, interactive communications, event marketing, computer games, photography. What’s more, we educate both creatives and strategists – and students work together across all disciplines. This integrative approach has been one of the cornerstones of Berghs since the school was founded in 1941. It allows leading communicators and brand-builders to meet in our classrooms, and interact directly with teachers and students. This line of action, repeated over the years, has transformed our school into a unique forum for creative talents to meet and collaborate on exciting projects.
Creative Community
Berghs School of Communication is centrally located in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Stockholm is a world-leading creative community and the best place to study communications today. Design, fashion, music, gaming, social media, film, art, literature, IT and telecommunications – Stockholm is the origin of some of the most innovative trends of the last decade.
Academy of Art University
Founded in San Francisco 1929 by artists for artists
With more than 18,000 students from 80 countries, Academy of Art University is the largest private school of art and design in the US. Founded in 1929, AAU has a long tradition as a professional art school and, since its current president Elisa Stephens took office in 1992, has been a pioneer in integrating IT into its programs.
The motto of AAU is to hire "established professionals to teach future professionals." For example, one animation teacher may work at Pixar Studios, while another may be on the board of Adobe. By combining academic studies with vocational courses AAU is able to ensure that its students are well prepared for their chosen professional careers.
